Challenge was to take an unappreciated stamp/set and make it into a luscious card.
Ok, this stamp is close to 10 years old I'm guessing, and this is probably the 3rd time I've pulled it out. I just set my mind to getting the job done tonight.
Trunk/branches is one stamp that I stamped in cocoa and thumped with some chocolate. The leaves part is a cluster of about 1/2 inch x 1 inch that I colored with green zig markers in different colors to get the stippled effect. I liked the way the leaves turned out, but had to tweak the tree trunk with some prismas and gamsol to blend better color ... I sponged the edges with garden green and matted on hunter after punching the corners w/the ticket corner punch, then added 3 copper brads before popping it up on dimensionals.
Base is hunter with a greenish DP. I tied a dark green satin ribbon in the center w/a bow underneath the image panel.
For a stamp/set that I don't particularly like to use that often, I'm actually pleased at how it turned out. I'd say luscious, wouldn't you?
Thanks for looking! And thanks for the challenge, Kandi!
