Thanks Vicky and Roxie for the gorgeous link to Kim's card and today's sketch! This was another case of knowing just what I wanted to do and it all began with this gorgeous vase from Stamp Fanscisco.
I have a friend whose birthday is this weekend and she adores blue. Just to be around her is calming! So I decided to go in a delft direction. I used SU's Botanicals for the flowers script, inked with VersaMagic night sky and mounted on Making Memories dusk solid. The vase is inked with VersaFine majestic blue and embossed with clear. I used Paper Inspirations iris, again inked with the majestic blue onto Neenah smooth white cs. I colored bits of the flowers with watercolor pencils. My quarter circles were cut from Spellbinders circles and scallops, using Basic Grey Periphery 'Bordeaux' and white GP cs. I created the shabby houndstooth bg from Cornish Heritage Farms big scrapblock. The card base has a scallop border cut from the SU scallop punch, Happy Birthday in the majestic blue. Stamps from Anna Griffin clear.
I love how this turned out with the delft colorway. Thanks for having a look and always, your comments are welcomed!

Oh Susan, I really like this. The colour scheme is just so lovely, your vase of flowers is just beautiful. And I really like the way you've used the sketch on a larger card base.

WOW! I was perusing the gallery for some inspiration to get my card started. I saw the thumbnail and thought immediately that I could already tell the middle panel was unique and special. Big surprise when it popped up as one4joy's! Go figure! As always, stunning!!
