No stamping involved. My Red Hat group, the Sassy Bowlers, attended a tea just outside San Antonio this weekend. There was a contest to make the best Mardi Gras mask. Guess who won first place!!!! Moi. Me. Nancy.
Here's the story. My friend had bought a mask in New Orleans years ago and never took it out of the box. So she gave it to me and said "Go Girl!" Paint, glitter, gawdy, do anything you want. So I painted all the green and gold on it with acrylic paints, then covered with red glitter glue. Covered the scalp with red threaded sequins. Painted a dowel rod red and covered with glitter, then just started gluing and adding feathers and ribbons. The bird isn't on here, but one lady had a red glittery feathered Bird of Paradise which I attached with red and purple ribbons. Voila. I almost dropped my teeth when they announced mine was the winner.
