This week is our CCEE (Cheers & Challenges Eager Eight) CNFS challenge (Catchy Name Featured Stamper)--whew! that's a mouthful! Once a month, one of us picks someone who has a catchy user name over on SCS and then we create our card around that stamper's name and send off our card to them.
This month it was Tosh's (Stamps4funinca) turn to select the person whose name we were going to use and she selected Michelle, aka JustPaintingAround. Tosh told us that Michelle has a spotlighting style that she loved, so for our card we had to use the spotlighting technique. My hat is off to Michelle. She makes this look so easy, but it really does require some thought and planning to execute.
For my card, I chose to use my new Tilda stamp that Tracim sent to me (thank you, Traci!). I just love these darling Magnolia stamps. They are so much fun to color. I used my Copic markers to color Tilda and the Magnolia tree that Jaydekay (thank you, Judy!) sent to me. I used sponge daubers to color the sky and ground and to fill in the tree leaves. For the grass and sweet little flowers, I used SU markers on my stamps from Rubbernecker's KittieKits Cause a Scene.
Remember you are also welcome to join in the challenge ... you can using any variation of the spotlighting technique you want to create your cards. Just use the keyword "CCEEC" in your upload.

This is such a beautiful card! What a wonderful job you did with the coloring, I love this spotlight technique. Tilda is such the focus of attention, and rightfully so! That tree image is beautiful, I am a fan of where the image is part of the actual landscaping of the card. Beautiful!!!

This is not my comment!
Here's the deal. I am thinking about sending you all my images so that you can pre-color them. I will probably have to send you about 250 to 300 at a time though cuz that way the postage won't kill US sending them back and forth....Okay, I will get the first bunch out to you this week. Don't worry about what colors to use...I trust your judgement. Just make all of them look as good as this card!!! Okay? Oh, I might need some of them by say, February 25??
