When I'm trying to get to sleep at night, sometimes I plan out in my head what I want to do next for scrapbook pages or cards. I came up with the color combo for this layout late one night and was so excited when I got to my scrap table the next day and it worked I used Sage Shadow, Real Red, and Chocolate Chip. I was looking through my patterned paper stash for some Sage Shadow pattern when I came across the apples and I thought PERFECT!!! I took a page out of Gina's book and used a sanding block to distress the edges of it. I was kind of going for a postcard look on the big block with the title on the left, which is how I decided on that title.
The little apple accents are from Tart & Tangy. I was thinking about adding some little swirls in the blank spaces near the apples on the right hand page using Sage Shadow ink--what do you think? Add swirls or leave as-is?
There are several SCSers on this layout, me and then four chicas from the Unity Design Team, including my buddy AmberDawn who's pretty much a stamping celebrity on Okinawa. Seriously, on more than one occasion, people have walked up to her and said, "Are you Amber? I read your blog!"
That's never happened to me. :p
