What a great challenge! This was really a stretch for me.
First, I used dp instead of making my own bg. I used not one, but TWO different dps and I even cut into the printed one. You have no idea how painful this was for me. Don't get me wrong, I love dp and buy it all the time. I even go visit my dp and ooh and aah over all the pretty colors. But use it? Cut into it? I agonized over the placement of my images so I wouldn't waste any.
Second, I embossed the images. This is another thing I like, but don't do very often. Just lazy. I guess. Because I have to actually plug in the heat gun and go get the ep.
Third, paper piecing. I love the way it looks but hardly ever do it. I also stretched by not using my usual gazillion layers. For me, this is pretty clean and simple. TFL

I enjoyed reading your narrative; too funny! You made it sound like this was a very painful process for you. This came out really beautiful! Fabulous Asian theme!

The story is just too funny. Sometimes I feel like that when I have to go out of my way to get something out of the drawer like the heat tool. This card is just too cute. Love the paper piece take out containers.
