This card is for the TLC, having 'cut it out' on your card...I have cut out the floral lattice background, layered it on embossed cardstock and then added layered flowers and buttons - which qualifies it for this weeks Flourishes Challenge....I am becoming a challenges addict....scaring myself a bit there!!!
This card is also the first of a number I am making for the victims of the horrific bushfires in Victoria Australia. My DH suggested it and I didn't really think it would make any difference until I saw an interview showing school children writing letters to children who had survived the fires....one lady came on weeping thanking people for their support and just knowing that people are out there caring and showing love makes all the difference....so cards it is, these people don't even own one piece of paper, they have lost everything!!!
Peggy (aka Marilyn Prestonn) rang me yesterday - how lovely it was to hear her sweet voice all the way from Canada - and suggested that I mention to everyone that if you are interested in making a card to two for these people, please PM me and I will give you my address and get them to these people.....thank you so much!!!
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, and for your encouraging comments, you bless me so much!!!

I love this card. The antique colours and flowers are just lovely. What a great idea to send cards to all those people who have lost everything. Any advice on where to send cards?

Isn't that lovely - the idea of children writing to other children who have survived the brush fires! How lovely that you will be a part of that.. your card is simply gorgeous -and even more so due to your generousity of spirit.

Well if this isn't a gift from God himself! I just love the serenity and peacefulness that shouts from this cards. I just hope I can render my spirit and his and brew up some of those myself. Count on me Linda, you are such a giving soul, I don't feel obligated, it's just like the sensible step forward. Send my love to everyone until I get my cards to them okay.
Oh Linda, this is just gorgeous, and so thoughtful, too. Thanks to Ron for coming up with this idea, I'll be posting some tomorrow for you! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!
