This series of photos is a "Love Cube" explosion box. My friend at work commissioned me to make it. I will add his photos later... don't have publishing rights for those
Made with SU! "Sweet Nothings" SSK, and recent embellies. The choc chip satin ribbon (so delish) is retired but I think the rest is current.
Thanks for looking!
Stamps: Friends 24-7, Baroque Motifs
Paper: SU! RHR, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Pink Piroutte, and "Sweet Nothings" SSK and decorative paper.
Embellies: Pretties pearls and flowers, Fleurettes, Build a Brad
Technique: I saw this at an SU! regionals event. Jan Tink has instructions on her blog. Many have done this explosion box. PM me if you want a link to Jan Tinks instructions! For my own use I modified some of the sizes but I don't have them documented. I added a little booklet to rest inside the bottom of the box.
ETA: Details about instructions
Here are Jan's instructions. I adjusted the measurements of the panels slightly (prefer to use on the 4 rather than on the 8, say 3 3/4 rather than 3 5/8...). I added a little booklet. Cover is 3x3. Book pages are 2.5 x10 and the accordian folded into four pages. Adhered to bottom. Embellished much more heavily. The bones are basically the same. Recommend you take your time decorating the panels... i.e. if you are going to put a brad in then make sure you know what the back panel looks like. Same if you are wrapping ribbon around a panel etc. Have fun. I love making these and I love how they turn out!

What a BEAUTY! NOW I have to ask..ya gave it a LEVEL 5, so hmm....how many HOURS did this take to create?? It is SO beautiful, I might intend on making one for a gift, yet end up keeping it instead. (IS that truly awful of me?)
Lela, you continue to share such amazing work, and this is just another example! ONE LUCKY friend who commissioned *you* to create this for her!!! (My hat goes off here again, w/ a BIG THANK YOU also to Jan Tink for those detailed instructions she shared!)
Another example proving how many amazingly creative women we have here on SCS....
