This stunning image was sent to me by our very own Anne Ryan and I just love it. This card fits 2 challenges, the first being the Flourishes - this is my first card for this challenge and it definitely has one and also the TLC..I have tried the technique again today and decided that I am sticking with this...but I will keep trying to conquer it!!!
I coloured the image with pearlescent chalks which I thought would be the same as normal chalking, which as you would know - I love...well...no...it is a different texture on the card, it is hard to see here but there is actually a sheen on the gown IRL. I also added gold highlights which are not showing up very well, but there is quite a bit of subtle bling happening here!!
The crocheted lace is from an old doily...I love collecting them and using the lace on my cards!! A string of small pearls is run above the lace...and a pearl button added to the flourish, alomg with half pearls to the side.
The card reads..'Oh my Giddy Aunt...' and in the inside...'I can't believe you are 70!' We have two very special people turning 70 this year, my Mum being one and a dear family friend affectionately known as 'Nana Helen' who used to be an Opera singer and as soon as I opened Anne's card and saw this image, DH and I both instantly agreed that she would love this image....so I may find myself making two...or not!!
Thanks for sharing looking and let me know if YOU can see the pearl look and the gold...you will have to look really hard, which is a shame!

I love this image too, so graceful and I've done a card with her and Diane (MissApple) helped a whole lot. Love what you've done with her, I looked so close I got crosseyed!!! I can see it though. LOL Pretty flourish and so cool that you could do the challenge also. Love the recycled lace. Fabulous work darling!
