I got this idea from another stamper here on SCS awhile ago, just saved it. She recommended this site for a template.http://www.mirkwooddesigns.com/
Top view:
I put the c/s through my printer, cut, and scored. I traced 2 fronts of the DP, cut to fit, and secured. I added the holes to the centers on each side in the middle and added 2 flower eyelets for the tie. I stamped the bird onto white c/s, used my water pen, and bliss blue to color. Cut out and used clear emboss powder to make it shine. I then used 2 of the same sizes on the Sizzix scallop tag and stamped the sentiment onto the vellum. There is a light purple underneath the vellum tag. I added cording and tied.
Insert:
I stamped the grass with old olive along the bottom of the card. I colored the flower and stem using my colored markers. Then came back and used my water pen and marker to color. (I kept coloring with the marker on a separate piece of paper and taking my water pen to color) I didnt have this color ink pad. I stamped the bird like I did for the top of the card. I also stamped the butterfly onto the insert itself with a purple marker, using my water pen, and the same ink. I used my CM circle punch for the sun and stamped the sentiment on it. I added the lines to the outer part of the sun using my colored pencil. I also added clear embossing powder to all the images. I sponged around the sky and edges area using bliss blue ink. I sponged with old olive just on the bottom of the card. The template didnt call for anything to keep the insert from coming out the bottom of the card, so I added the slit punch to make the card stay put when not in use. I really enjoyed making this card.
Sorry for the smudge mark near the sun. It is on my camera chip..Please look past that, thank you!
Bonnie
Things I changed:
I made my card open where the flaps were to be on Bevs card.
I made an insert
I added a die cut tag and put the ribbon in the different spot.
I'm falling asleep at the computer! I had to make this fast, as that my eyes keep landing on the keyboard.
