well, thanks Miss Boo, for a wonderfully freeing challenge and the great examples to be found in Susan's gallery. I hope you like what I've created! This card also is for Sharon Johnson ssnotime72 love is in the air, and the TSC0130 to make a scene challenges.
I absolutely adore this Magenta stamp! I've wanted to call it my own for almost as long as I've been stamping...and guess what arrived in my mailbox yesterday! Perfect for several challenges this Friday. I inked it with VersaFine Sepia onto Cosmo Cricket chicken little paper. This is my very favorite cloud DP. I used Copics sparingly. On the music sheet, I spelled out only YOU with Making Memories rub-ons and a vintage velvet flower for the "O". The edges are heavily distressed with Tim Holtz distresser and my good ole fingernail. The card base is SU's retired soft sky in a kickstand fold. I added a big of sepia colored ribbon at the very top.
I wanted to keep this clean and simple as the challenge required...I love the look and would like to hear what you think about my card.
Some of you will remember the song, by the Platters...it was of my parents era, but I have loved it so very much and my DH proposed to me on his knee in public with that song playing. This will be his Anniversary card on Valentine's Day...yes I married a romantic hunk of a man!!!

You have me tearing up right now Susan, but not of sadness, JOY, because you are one for joy huh! I love this little "cupidon". How romantic you made this feel and while commenting I am listening to the platters, my dad used to sing that all the time to my mom and us girls, we are 3 sisters, so he had a house filled with girlies and loved it. (I do have 3 brothers also)
Wow, you have made some memories spring up. Thank you Susan, seems like your "yes" was the right one. This man is a keeper indeed and so are you now.

Lovely story - happy anniversary:
And a lovely (should I say handsome?) card. The distressed look you achieved goes so well with the image. I have a hard time pulling off that light color on top of light look - yours is so impressive.
