My SIL is head of American Cancer Society in this area and asked me to make some HOPE cards for a fund raiser. This is the first try. She stated that from the day of diagnosis of cancer, patients are called "SURVIVORS' and that their ribbon color is purple and HOPE is their word.
I ran purple cs through my CB Textile folder and white cs through the CB dotted swiss folder. I stamped the H, P, and E with Whisper purple ink and placed a purple ribbon for the O. I placed a purple gem in the center of the ribbon. I mounted the image onto black cs and placed on purple base.
I used the same purple ribbon and placed on the corners and used purple gem flowers (from Joann's) on the opposite corners. I punched out four butterflies, two black and two purple. The purple ones were punched out of purple cs run through CB with the Textile folder. I glued them together and pinched up the wings.
The inside of the card is an SU stamp " Each day of life is a precious gift from God. ~ Charles H. Spurgeon.
Is this card ok for the fund raiser? What do you think?
