I love this new SU set and thought it'd be great with this week's color challenge (Breezy Pacific Gardens). I think it worked; what do you think?
I pulled out an old sketch challenge that I hadn't done yet and went to work. The card base is Pacific Point. I trimmed 1" from the bottom. The designer paper is from the Urban Garden package, which was notched in each corner with my 1/2" circle punch. It was glued to the card and then wrapped with 5/8" Striped Pacific Point Grosgrain.
I stamped the tree with Garden Green ink onto Whisper White cs. The splotches (what else would you call them?) were stamped with Baja Breeze, which was stamped off once onto scrap paper before stamping onto the Whisper White cs. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to add the birdhouse and boots in Pacific Point ink. This panel is layered onto Garden Green cs.
I stamped the sentiment with Garden Green ink onto Whisper White cs, trimmed the right side and then layered it onto Garden Green cs, which received the same treatment. I glued it directly to the tree panel and then added the Filigree Designer Brad. This entire panel is adhered to the card with Dimensionals.
I really like this quick and simple card. I hope you do, too. TFL - Regina
