I got my inspiration from this card in VickyÂ’s nice gallery.
My keeps were a nature scene with wild life, position of hardware, plaid background, tool distressing, a sentiment and silhouette images. The changes are obvious if you bring up her card and kindly leave a comment because sheÂ’s a very sweet lady! But I will list some changes, cardstock colors, images, time of day for the scene, ribbon to oval punches, and position of sentiment. I really liked her hardware over mine!
Most stampers with scenery images will have what it takes to recreate this card and make it their own, so hereÂ’s what I did:
-First I secured the panel to a scrap piece of notebook sized paper to avoid it moving around when I get ready to sponge.
-Stamped the moose and tree.
-Tore a piece of paper and placed it so the moose hooves and tree base are slightly covered and also secured this so it wonÂ’t move. I then used the brayer to add the black ground area.
-Remove the paper and start stamping on the plants until you like your scenery.
-Punch out a 1” circle from a sticky note and place it where you want your moon.
-Sponge on the lighter blue, then the darker and do a lot of action on this step to get it dark. I only hit the area where the moon is shining down a few times with the darkest ink.
-Remove the moon mask and add a little sponged on ink of the darkest color. I also used a sea sponge over the moon to give a few heavy dark spots.
-Now sponge on the pink just above the ground area and your ready to finish off the card.
I love to look outside after dark and see the slightly pink horizon in our area here in Michigan so I thought IÂ’d use natureÂ’s inspiration on this card.
-After tool distressing I also ink distressed to tone down the white on the large panel and the oval.
Some of the grasses I used are retired as a single image but you can find them in the Scene It stamp sets at Cornish Heritage Farms..
