I have been buying the Lang Cow Calendars for ever! They have the best scenes. I didn't choose one of them today, I'm saving them for another day. The one I did choose was the first one Stef listed here . I loved the colors.
I chose this image because it so reminds me of.......ME! lol Just a few differences tho, my belly isn't quite that large, my chin is sort of like hers, thanks to inheriting it from my uncle, plus I don't have a cat, just a Rosco dog and two birdies!
Quick story of why this image inspired me, I took piano lesson what I was way young, didn't quite get it. Took them again after I was married but before kids. I was doing a lot better only I developed nerves, not the good kind, but the kind that makes you make your piano teacher sit in the other room while you play because you can't play in front of him! LOL I still play occasionally, sometimes even in front of DH, lol, but most of the time it's just me and the pets! They don't care if your miss a note or two! LOL.....
Details......stamped and versa marked my image, colored with copics. Cut out with a circle coluzzle, sponged and doodled the edges. Cut out another larger circle of black cs. Put these two together.
Made the red with black dots bg using the stamp from my sister. I just love it! I stamped the dots, versa marked and clear eb them brayered purely pomegranate over.
Made a square card, stamped Mutnik square stamp on the edges, sponged with tea dye. Put on a strip of misc. dp and the stamped bg, added my circle image panel and the round tag that I wrote "sing" on. Put some ribbon through the hole. Well, what do you think?......... I have to clean the house now, but will be back later to comment on all your wonderful cards!........TFL :0)

I like your trademark border with that absolutely wonderful striped paper.
Me too, I'd rather play the piano with no audience. Alas, DH prefers me to accompany him when he sings, but I get so nervous my hands go cold and me knees shake.
Cute the way the dog looks as if he is singing along!!

I love that piano story....mine is so similar (my teacher gave me hives! So I don't play, and gave my piano to DD for her kids to take lessons, which they LOVE!....but I digress)this stamp is so funny! How did I miss finding this one????????? I love the way you colored it!! This card is utterly unbelievable...I will laugh all day, just thinking about it! Thanks, Cathy!!!!!!!!!!

I love your card - and your reasons for liking it. I was telling a friend recently that I can't sing worth diddly (even though I like to when I'm alone). She reminded me of the words "Make a Joyful Noise". She said it's okay to be just as strong on the "noise" part as we are on the "joyful" part. lol
