I wanted to do crayon resist to CASE this card that I found here on SCS, but alas, not a white crayon to be found in my house! So, I did as all creative women do and searched for a substitute, and I found one in my kitchen drawer! I used a white birthday candle with excellent results, AND they come in boxes of all white and are cheap! No more crayons for me when I use this technique! Now I'm off to a workshop to demo this card. My girls are going to be WOWED!!!

Darn it, I neeed this set! I love how you incorporated both black and white ink. I have the gingham ribbon but have been struggling for ideas on how to use it. Thanks!

UPDATE: I demonstrated this card and my other Mixed Bouquet/Crayon Resist card (also in my gallery) at my last workshop for all of my "advanced" stampers, and they ALL bought glossy cardstock for the first time. If you haven't already tried the resist technique with the birthday candles, give it a try. I think it actauly works better than the crayon!

I LOVE how this turned out! I guess I'll be buying some glossy cardstock soon myself. Isn't it funny how you see a stamp set sometimes and aren't that impressed, but then you see a few great examples with it and suddenly you have to have it? Oh, if only I'd never come across SCS, my checking account would be a lot larger!
