When I woke up this morning and saw that Beth had posted the Featured Stamper Challenge, I squealed out loud and sent my dear friend (and co-worker!) Lori a congratulatory text 'cause I knew a phone ringin' in church wouldn't be too appropriate.
I've met a lot of people through Splitcoast. Some of my closest in-real-life relationships have started here and grown through emails and phone calls and trips all over the place . . . take this week's Featured Stamper, for instance! Lori is such a beautiful and strong woman. I am blessed to call her my friend!
After many detours, I finally settled on this card from her gallery. I was intrigued by the tiny pocket idea, but didn't want to stamp a whole lot (lots and lots to do before I get to hug her in person this coming Saturday!), so I leaned heavily on my Prima flower, velvet leaf, and rub-ons.
Same: size, rounded corners, flower over hardsare, ribbon holding hardware on card, hardware itself.
Different: rub-ons and fake flower instead of stamped, used polkadots instead of flowers. . .
LOVE the way it came out!
