This week's FS on SCS is Stamp_Mamma (aka Lori). I enjoyed visiting her gallery and blog and reading about her family, her antics, and her love for life! A Tea Towel project that Lori designed grabbed my eye right away - I like what she says about her friends: she has the kind of special friends that know her and still love her! LOL. SO TRUE in my life as well! LOL. Anywhoo, it made me think of someone I owe a TU card for so I designed one using Lori's TEA TOWEL here: DeColores, Sweet Sister! by stamp_momma at Splitcoaststampers
I used SU Aida Cloth BG to create the texture of the tea towel. My card is a sort of trifold with a ribbon belly band which has a tag hanging from it. I kept Lori's basic colors, tried to duplicate the folded towel, and used a rooster image as well. I added hardware and scalloped borders. When you slide the bellyband off, the sentiment reads "Just a little note filled with a whole lot of gratitude". This is the perfect sentiment for the special friend that I will gift this card to. Hug a friend this week!
and thanx for looking too!

What a great idea to use the Aida Cloth bg to simulate the tea towel texture, and I adore how you did the ribbon/linnen thread treatment with the hardware and sentiment!
Roo-roo-roo-roooooooo! That's rooster talk for a fabulous card, Christine!
