I made this “scrapling” for last night’s VSN “Flirtation”. A “scrapling” is a long narrow card made from the leftovers we cut off when cutting card stock to size to make a card base. What a great use of scraps!
This was so easy – I made a Valentine, but these would also make terrific little note cards to include inside gifts and packages. My card base, which is white, is made from the scrap leftover after cutting an A2 size pair of cards from 12 x 12 inch paper. The card measures 2.5 inches by 5.5 inches
I layered a scrap of striped pattern paper stamped with my favorite flourish stamp over a scrap of dark mauve textured cardstock. The lace was punched separately and adhered between the card base and the mauve card stock.
The three floral images are from a set of “inchies” type stamps I just bought for making spring time cards. I layered them on a scrap of gray card stock. The pierced white hearts are a Martha Stewart punch, and the “candy messages” are stickers from Michael’s.

Look at all that lacy detail. Reminds me of a Victorian Valentine.
Thanks for flirting.
