My submission for Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #6- Rain. You can find more information at www.twilighttuesday.com
I have fussed and fiddled with this card for about three weeks and it is a hard to see all the "rain" in the photo but IRL it is very cool! I really like the scenic snow cards Kittie747 creates and I thought I could get a similar effect for rain with clear embossing powder. I started out with a one dimensional image using the negative part of the die cut and shading, used itty bitty backgrounds and embossing powder over and over and over to create the rain. It looked flat to me so added die cut trees and used pop dots give them dimension at different levels, but first I had to make them rainy, so out came IBB and more embossing powder, over and over and over again. I had my computer generated sentiment and Forks rainy trees all ready to assemble and couldnÂ’t decide on the right patterned paper, I agonized over that for almost a week! Finally I decided on the blue/green paper and then couldn't decide how I wanted to orient the image and the sentiment, landscape or portrait, landscape, portrait, sentiment to the right, in the middle, etc.; so I decided to put the card aside for a few days. When I brought it out yesterday it all just came together and I am really excited with the outcome!
Thanks for looking!
