Well, this is a recycled idea that I used in a different way last V-Day.
The alligator is from Animal Valentines by SU! circa 2000 and sentiment is also SU! Whole Latte Love - both are retired, but I kept them as I knew I would need them!
This was super easy to create and complete. Everything is either punched, CB'd, Nesties, or paper trimmer cut. The only part that would take a few minutes to do is the razor cut around the gator's mouth to insert the small heart.
I made an oval hole behind the large heart so the pencil would "lay" better and not bend the paper as much! However, I did want the pencil to make the large heart appear like a pocket, so if you use this idea, don't make too big of a hole, or that won't work.
I also used a bit of Signo pen on his eyes and teeth - makes them stand out!
I am a teacher and gators are my class mascot, so this will be a great gift for my homeroom students. I already have the pencils ($ store), so it will just be multiple cuts to make then a quick assembly.
This could also be adapted to hold a lollypop, candybar, or small gift item. You could easily adapt the large heart to be a small pouch!
