I made this card for yesterday's inspiration challenge. I went out on my own a bit - I searched for "tenugui" on Etsy and found this quilted wallhanging that uses a tenugui fabric.
I stamped the canvas background in bordering blue on vanilla cardstock (stamped off once first) and then stamped the leaves in basic gray, riding hood red, and night of navy. I didn't completely ink the stamp with the red so I wouldn't have all those stems at the bottom. I colored in the leaves with the same color markers and blender pen/reinker. I cut out the circle with Nestabilities and then sliced off one side. The background is bordering blue cardstock stamped with the canvas BG in the same method using navy ink. I stamped the crane in navy in the upper corner. The sentiment is also in navy on riding hood red, with three vintage brads. I layered onto basic gray and a navy top-fold card.
I'm giving you all the details here because this is for my dad and if I blog about it, he'll see it! ;)
