HereÂ’s JudyÂ’s card which I was inspiration from for my near case job.
I kept the flowers exactly, traded the Linen over the flowers for the CHF Weave, kept the flourishes although mine are not the same image, tried to stay as close as possible to the colors she had in her card but my designer paper is a different pattern. I also switched ribbon for cardstock and brads, sentiment panel for a butterfly and added scalloped edges to my image panel and a few more or less layers.
I think JudyÂ’s gallery is one of the most inspiring galleries on SCS, itÂ’s an honor to case her!
-The flower images were stamped using the masking technique with a sticky note which was previously cut and stored in the CD case with the cling foam/smart foam image.
-My images are colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps, (baby oil is used in place of Gamsol or mineral).
-After cutting the butterfly I go around the edge with black marker to hide the white. It also got some clear sparkle Sakura pen work which doesnÂ’t show on the photo.
-The image panel was ink distressing and I also did the finger walking technique after it’s colored in; the technique is to lay your image on an inked up background which is face up on the stamping surface and finger walk across – this is done so it doesn’t cover the image completely.
-The butterfly was sculpted using a metal ball stylus. I go over the lines on the front, flip it over and emboss by moving the stylus in a circular motion and staying away from the edges and lines from the first step. It looks great in real life.
