This fairy birthday card is for a young girl who is thrilled to be turning 11 today! (Does ANYONE remember the days when we WANTED to be a year older?!!! LOL)
This was a fun card to make, albeit tedious. It is an image snagged off the internet as I don't have very many stamps which would suit a little girl.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and sparkly gel pens. I used a wee bit of stickles on the little bird in the fairy's hand. I mounted the finished colored image to a shimmery midnight blue stock then over a gorgeous textured gold paper sent by the wonderful Marilynprestonn. (Thank you, Peggy!)
I finished the card with a thin ribbon which holds the vellum sheet on which the message is stamped on the inside of the card. I'll post the inside separately.
Thanks for looking and have a terrific evening!

I love this M. Love the golden feel to this. Pretty coloring and fairy image. A little birdie told me that you might be getting a few images suited for little girls pretty soon. Wink! Wink!

Wow the detail on this is so tiny. I have such a hard time coloring those teeny spaces. I am one of those stampers that needs wide open... I think it's because I am clausterphobic. LOL. Super super job..
