This sketch challenge was fun and I decided to go with a Magnolia, which is a stamp off from my friend Melinda (aka Melinda80). I have chalked Tilda with both dry and wet chalks and a blender pen. Then cut her out and adhered her with 3D foam tape. The flowers are hydrangers, which I just love and was surprised to find them locally at KMART....the colours are lovely and I am sure you will be seeing them often on my cards. When I started cardmaking I really wasn't into flowers, or so I thought, but now I realise I just didn't know how to use them - I love them now!!
The lace is from an old doily...I m hunting them out everywhere, I love the look of lace on the right card and have been using it even more on Magnolia's since getting to know Lim and seeing her gallery...there is the link, you will be amazed at what this lady does with her cards, they are truly an art form!
Thank you so much for looking and for your kind comments, you have really encouraged me in my endeavour to evolve as a cardmaker...I am learning daily from all of the wonderful cards here on SCS!!

Linda, your card is adorable! I love your perfectly coloured and perched little girl and the lovely touch of lace! You made me smile to think of 'learning' on SCS, as I have often called this site 'Card College' and I have many favorited 'professors'.

Ohh that is one gorgeous card, sistah!! What a beautifully coloured Tilda! Oh, and that lace is so fabulous!! Why do I not have neat stuff like doilies * lying around!!! * Just yesterday I was at my LSS and looking for some kind of funky scalloped lace or something cool like that - but no dice!!
Fabulous flowers - again, I have quite a few - but I can't seem to make them look good on my cards!! Drat!
Beautiful card Linda!! Gorgeous layout, colours, paper, image - the whole thing is just gorgeous!! Perfect!!!!
Whoa, Linda, talk about gorgeous!!! Why do I never think to chaulk my images?!!! You've done it so beautifully, and it's perfect with the lace and flowers. Thanks so much for the inspiration, now if only I could find my chaulks......
