Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Tacky Glitter.
I'm having a "Markie and Mark" withdrawl day! They both have gone back out in the world, while I'm stuck at home...*INSERT audible sigh HERE. NOT!!!!!! I'm FREE!!! At last! I've got the house to myself, oh, and the cats, of course! LOL! That said, Markie has a Beanie Buddy Monkey that we call Monkey Mark! Well...yesterday, Monkey Mark disappeared from his regular spot. I just found him, in the bathroom, in the tub....WITH SPEEDY THE CAT asleep on him! LOL!
I was inspired to use this cute Monkey for a Valentine today! To make the background, I used 1/4" and 1/2" Tacky Tape. I adhered the lines of Tacky Tape on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then, I peeled away the liners for the 1/4" and poured Martha Stewart Red Glitter, (found at 75% at Walmart, YESTERDAY! LOL) and pressed it into the tape. I had to use a brush, then a Swiffer Cloth, then the brush again to get the "clinging" glitter off the paper. I repeated the process with the pink.
The image was colored with Copic markers. I sponged the Real Red elements with Riding Hood Red for depth.
The Large Frame heats are Nesties. The smaller hearts are Marths Stewart punches.
