Using some of my much maligned "hoarded wood" I made these three items for my DW. The ink rack was most time consuming and labor intensive. It turned out to be very industrial in it's strength. The ribbon rack and punch storage were much quicker, taking only several hours each. Only the dowel rods had to be purchased. Less than $10 total.

Well, I am proud to admit that I am the dw! My dh spent part of his Christmas vacation creating the inkpad rack, the ribbon rack and the punch rack for me. I am one pretty lucky stamper! Plus, he is using some of his 'hoard'!
What my DW didn't mention about "my hoard" is the fact that the majority of the wood used for this project was moved from Kentucky just 19 years ago. It was from our kitchen remodel dating back to 1985. I knew then there was a good purpose for it especially after sanding off the yellow stain.

Wow, I see this has been favorited 6 times! Must be there's lots of other DW's out there that have plans to show these works of art to their Dh's. I dunno, but I think you might be receiving some hate mail at this address. Beware. BTW, I think these are just fabulous. What a lucky DW! I hope she's a real stamper and not just someone who likes to show off her husband's skills or all her stamp stuff!

I guess Christine is happy you saved all that wood now! Nineteen years? Well, it looks like it was worth it! Such skills and hoarding will come in handy in the economic slowdown!
