Today's LSC201 was to make a card/project using your favorite things...there were some limitations to it, but I think I met those!
I do have to admit, I made this sketch book a few days ago, but when I saw today's challenge I thought it would be perfect!!
We were to use our favorite things. This stamp set is from one of my favorite companies Innovative Stamp Creations and is one of my favorite sets from them - About Me.
To create the background I used some of my new favorite inks...alcohol inks...they are way fun to play with. If you don't have any you need to try a few out!
We could use three of your favorite colors plus a neutral. I used Riding Hood Red, Gold, Creamy Caramel, and Basic Black...I love any color combo right now with Riding Hood Red in it!!
Two of three embellishments from a list: I used some hardware for the book enclosure, and lots of ribbon for the bind. Oh, and I almost forgot...the pen is stamped on a piece of plain grungeboard and then cut out...another one of my new favorite things...love grungeboard!!! (I am not counting the bind itself as an embellishment because it is needed when you make a book!)
For my favorite techniques again, I used some alcohol inks to create the swirled background. Additionally, I did some heat embossing with craft ink and clear EP on all the images for this project...which is absolutely LOVE to do!!
Okay that pretty much does it! What a great challenge!!
