For the challenge we had to create a card using something “new”, my corvette and sentiment images are new. I also cut a new oval mask with my new Nestabilities…does that count?
-I made a new oval mask using my Nestabilities; the largest of the large ovals. I stamped the car on a sticky note and cut that out for a mask also. I will keep these stored either in the case I store the stamps in or an envelope of blocked mask templates so they are always handy for the next card creation. I used the same Coluzzle template for three yearsÂ…wowza, what a time saver that was!
-The car and tree image are colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps for blending.
-After masking off the car and a straight edge for the tree trunk I tore a piece of paper to separate the sky and sandy beach area; I covered the sky and sponged color for the sand, switched the papers to cover the beach and sponged on the sky, yellow first, then orange then blue.
-Added some tire tracks in the sand with the pencils and stamped on the sentiment.
-The edge of the white panel is scored using the Scor-Pal. This area of the card is A2 size with a 1/16” black border and 1/8” blue border and card base. 5 13/16” x 4 5/8” is the overall size of the card.
