This is page 11 and 12 of a chipboard book (approx. 4.25 in. x 6.5 in.) I made for my niece using photos from her visit here to Phoenix in August.
I am posting all the pages of the book.
I first painted all the edges of the grey chipboard book with a golden yellow acrylic paint, then applied the dp on each page (I made a template of the shape) using ModPodge. I then added my photos, mats and embellishments, and tied ribbons through the front and back holes. I made one ribbon on both sides about double the length of the other ribbons so the book could be tied closed. Then I wrapped a multi-colored fiber strand around the binding of each page. (This not only looks pretty cool, it also helped to hide the cracking and fraying that occurred on the stiffened paper of the seams once the glue dried and the pages were turned.)
This took quite a bit of time, but IÂ’m real happy with the way it turned out, and I think my niece will be too!

I actually added a fourth pic after I had already taken this photo--I just had to include a little photo of my sister's dog's face--I put him in a little heart with a white border and placed it over the photo on the far right!
