I found time to play in Barbara's cool gallery again today! Casing this card. I loved the layout which I kept, but reversed, used different Basic Grey papers, and a different stamped image. Thanks for the inspiration stampfilled dreams!!! This card also fits the HCE09 challenge to make a card with a tag, thanks Maria.
I used Stamp Francisco's crow man stamp inked with TH di black soot and clear embossed directly to BG ambrosia paper. I used a bit of white GP cs to extend the roll of parchment he is holding to stamp SU's HAPPY NEW YEAR. I used a shipping tag made from a Making Memories template for the tag and sticker numbers from Shotz danelle Johnson. The ribbons were scraps from other projects. I actually 'drug' out my sewing machine and really stitched on the top layer. The rest of the card is heavily distressed with Tim Holtz and Making Memories distressing scrappers thingyies!
I will tuck this into a coworker's gift bag when I head back to work this week. She loves anything having to do with crows...though I'd hate to meet up with one that has a beak like mine!!!
Thanks for your comments!!!

Great card! I especially LOVE the color combo and the stitching....You are tempting me to drag out the sewing machine....Tempting...NOT forcing...I don't want to LOOK for the darn thing! LOL!

Oh, WOW, Susan! What a stunner. Your use of DP, the vivid orange color and all the sewing and distressing make for a delightful card today. I know your friend will go crazy for this crow.
