Created for the inspiration challenge. When I saw the inspiration challenge, I knew right away that I wanted to pull out my loved (but neglected since it retired) Roses in Winter. I probably have some sort of square stamp that would have worked for the checkerboard, but didn't want to spend time looking for one, so I just took some rubber left from mounting a stamp set and cut my own. I stamped the square and the rose using the rock 'n' roll technique. I added some extra details on the flower and leaves with markers. The butterfly was colored with markers.
My gold Krylon leafing pen isn't working very well, but it was perfect for the look I wanted along the edges. The butterfly and sentiment are from Vintage Butterflies (Cornish Heritage Farms.
