This is a holiday gift for a dear friend. We used to have tea and cookies together in our office where we first met. Now we are on separate coasts raising our children, so maybe this will remind her of the 'old times'! I traced the insert with the mug onto vanilla card stock. I used masking to stamp the tea cup and teapot. The stamp was inked with Soft Sky and kissed with the Bella Toile BG stamp in Night of Navy. The edges are heavily sponged with Soft Sky and overstamped with two different leaves inked in True Thyme and Old Olive. I used reverse masking to create a scalloped square where I stamped the sentiment. There is no room for layers in the mug so the masking created a false layer so the sentiment is easily seen. I stamped the edges with the Linen BG stamp in Sahara Sand to create a little more texture. Sponged grey on the bottom right of the teapot for a little shadow.

I have been looking at a mug in my kitchen for MONTHS that I've been dying to get my hands on. Thanks for the inspiration. Now I wish I bought one of these for each of my girlfriends. They would make super Christmas gifts for my coffee freak friends. There's always next year!!!
