Momma Mia! Talk about what an obstacle this whole birthday card making extravaganza was! To start off, tomorrow (December 25th) is my mom's (ctorina) birthday! Horray! Happy Birthday, Mom!
I was going to wait until after I gave the card to my mom to post it, but it happened to be the sketch challenge for today. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! So, I decided to show her anyway and then post it since the timing was almost-perfect.
But wait... there's more!
What happens when you try to make a birthday card for the craftiest person in the family AND you live with her? You have to sneak. I had to wait until my mom was out of the house to hurry and use all of her scraps and supplies to make her the best birthday card ever! I scrounged through all of her scraps and stamps until I found one that she had NEVER used before! Perfect! I made my fairly simple card in no time and cleaned off every stamp and swept every scrap so she never even knew I was there! She was going to be so surprised!
But wait... there's more!
So, not only does my mom share a birthday with with the most popular dude of all time (aka Jesus) but she also shares a birthday with her twin sister! So, what are the odds when one day I walk in the door and she tells me, "Look at the cutest card I just made for Auntie for her birthday!"
So, I would like to just end my epic tale by saying that I did indeed make this card before the Sketch Challenge, and I did make this card before my mom inadvertently cased me, and my aunt is getting almost the exact same card for her birthday! So, VOILA! Here is my card for the sketch challenge! Oh, Momma Mia!

OMGosh Sara, that is a story Cindy could sink her teeth into and take off running. LOL. That is so funny. Believe it or not Shannon (e3stamper) and I have had simular issues. We are always saying how weird it is that we think so much alike. Guess that umbilical cord cutting does not remove all the ties that bind huh?

What a cute story! You and your mom must be more alike than you think! And since she is a twin, they should receive the same card...isn't that what twins do? Your card is lovely and I'm sure she will cherish what you did for her!
