I was thrilled that although we were not allowed to use any snowflakes or falling snow that were still allowed to represent snow in the project. Jami is tough but very fair.
I grew up on 300 acres of gorgeous farm land right outside of Charleston, WV. We never, ever purchased Christmas trees. Our parents would bundle us all up (4 girls) and we would walk the woods on our property to find just the right tree. As you can imagine these trees were never perfect as they had not had the attention and pruning that purchased tree have but they were always *perfectly wonderful* to us. We thought our father could do anything in the world as he cut down our tree and let us girls help him pull it home. He was beloved in the eyes of his daughters and well adored. No flaw in our tree could ever mar our love for both of our parents. Christmas in our home was all about "family" and I still hold these memories dear and close to my heart even though both my parents are gone. Merry Christmas Mother and Daddy. You will always live in the hearts of all your girls.
