Now you might be asking what holiday this covers... it covers my dh's birthday (tomorrow) and you may not think that is a holiday, but if you ask him it is! Being born so close to Christmas has always left him feeling a little blue... every year his mom would let him pick a present from under the tree to open for his birthday. Ever since we have been married, I have made it a point to 'CELEBRATE' his birthday like a special day that it is.
So, I made an explosion box to hold his little giftie (which I cannot tell you about just yet! ~ shhhhhhh, it's a suprise!).

Wonderful idea! My youngest son's birthday is the 26th and I have always tried to make it special. It's important to them!!! Your dh will LOVE this!

I really feel bad for people born close to Christmas -- they do, indeed, get a little cheated in the celebration department -- they have to share with everyone else. Happy birthday to your DH. Love your box!
