I made this candle ensemble for today’s “Ways to Use It” Challenge (WT197) which was to make a “quick” gift. Julia couldn’t have picked a better thing for me LOL. I need a few quick holiday things for some friends and it just so happened I had already bought some candles that I planned to embellish and make boxes for. This was the perfect day for that.
HereÂ’s my first set: For this candle set, I used Cranberry Kiwi candles which are a bright red and smell divine. I decorated a tall and short pillar plus four votives, and made a box for the votives.
UPDATE: These candles are actually Cranberry Mandarin (as in the orange). They have a delicate fruity fragrance with a citrus note. I love the scent - it's among the prettiest I've come across and it's not overpowering. Best of all, I got them at Wal-Mart - such a bargain!

Unfortunately, DH loved it so much, he's got me making 12 more sets just like it for the secretaries at the clinics, residential school, and hospital he works at. And I still have 3 more that I'm making anyway for gifts. Guess what I'm doing for the next three days LOL! Thanks for all the wonderful comments!
