Challenge TLC199 - Tag Punch Starburst
I don't have the 2 tag punches, so used my Nesties tag die & trimmed down.
I glued the tags onto a piece of swirled vellum for both layers. Wanted it to have a little more pizzaz so I added some stickles to the outer edges with the thought of making it into a snowflake-type card. Well, by the time the stickles dried, I'd changed gears 3-4 times ...
Here I have started with a card base of Rose red with some Parisian DP and on top of that, I have some pink/coral mulberry paper. Sentiment is computer generated & matted onto rose red c/s, making my own tag. Tied 5/8" pink pirouette ribbon through hole & bumped up on dimensionals.
Focal point - the starburst - is popped up on dimensionals with another layer of dimensionals in between the layers. topped with a yellow larger prima to tie in the DP and a coral prima (thank you, saxontoy), finishing with a green brad since center of flower was turning greenish.
Thought the glitz of the starburst would be too much for the more tame card, but I am actually pleased with how it turned out.
I took the challenge literally for this one ... I may turn to different colors and try to do another one this afternoon.
Very cool technique, tho.
Thanks for looking!
