It is impossible to get a good photo of this card at night, I have tried adjusting it, to try and get it true to colour, but it changes the gorilla's to a brown tone rather than the darkish grey they are - so I decided it was best to 'leave well alone!'
I have had this picture sitting in a box of old cards for years and only got it out a month ago wanting to use it...what a great opportunity!! Amazingly enough IRL it is actually very pretty as there is quite a bit of depth to the colours. As for recycling, well obviously there is the picture, I have also recycled the purple flower, which was what was left after a flower was punched out, so I cut around the edge to made an outline to sit the pink flower in. The button is also recycled, it is one of many that DH has picked up from garage/yard sales...and the silver heart is recycled from our older son and daughter's Formal Dinner at the end of school last year, we tied them to pink hearts with gold thread and then attached them to china teacup handles - the cups had tea lights in them....I salvaged all of them before they were thrown out!!!
I am happy with this card, it is totally different from what I first intended to do with this picture, but that seems to be happening to me a lot lately...I'm just 'going with the flow!'
Thanks for looking, I hope it makes you smile - even think of a loved one (well-l-l) Thanks also for your comments, they mean a lot to me!

We love gorillas at my house. In fact, we adopted one (through the Brookfield Zoo) for our son as a Christmas present this year. This is a great card for any animal lover.

LOL, that would be perfect for my anniversary in a couple of weeks! Thanks for the inspiration, Linda, now I have to go and find some gorillas! This is just FABULOUS, and way to go, you nailed the challenge!

what a delightful card, today, neighbor!!! I love the little touches you added, just the perfect scale not to distract from that fun image! I'm happy you got to put this to use!
