This is great challenge Lynn found for the TLC gift card holder; check it out here for the inside directions.
I didnÂ’t photo inside because IÂ’m doing anything spectacular to see.
-Prismacolor pencils and baby oil were used on the image. Baby oil works just like Gamsol or mineral spirits without fumes that give me a headache!
-Each poinsettia is two punched flowers that I ink distressed first. I then place the flower on a folded paper towel for a cushion and used the embossing stylus to create dimension using a circular motion and keeping away from the edge on each petal/leaf. Do the same in the very center and it curls by itself with the rolling motion. The center is 1/16” circles punched and glued to the card (this works fast if you use a straight pin and tacky glue). Then put a dot of the glitter adhesive on each punch out and sprinkle on the glitter. Glue to the card. I timed myself and it took about four minutes start to finish for each flower. Well worth the little time spent creating and after all we are playing…right!
-The flowers are popped up off the card with two punched ¼” circles and glue.
-The Art Glitter adhesive and Dazzling Diamonds glitter was also used for the snow and cut out holly berries.
