Your challenge today, Lynn is timely! There was a huge article in the business section of yesterday's paper on the boom in gift cards! And I know this girl loves nothing more than a pile of 'em!
I had such fun with my challenge card today. I'd been wanting to use my book "THROWN UPON HERE OWN RESOURCES: OR...WHAT GIRLS CAN DO" image from 100 Proof Press. Mona seemed the obvious choice to SIT in as my woman! This fun Hero Arts stamp was inked with VersaFine onyx black onto Neenah smooth white. I distressed the edges, I mean after all she IS centuries old! I also brought her hand out of the canvas in order to hold the book. That fab book is colored with Copics and popped into the scene. The Fancy Pants 'in the garden' clear stamp set was used for my edge. It was inked with VersaFine olympic green and embossed with clear. I added a bit of MM pink trim, a coupon from a raffle at DH's Bass Club last January (hey, you never know when this stuff might come in HANDY), a silk flower petal with vintage button on top. My card base is MME 'snowed in' Christmas papers. Now with such a fabulous front, you might be wondering about the inside...well, I cuttled the middle panel (ornaments folder) that holds the gift card. And there you have it!
So please do tell how you think I did. I mean, I've got a priceless Mona, holding wisdom in her hand with a coupon thrown in to boot!

Wow, Susan! This is awesome! I love Mona with her book of wisdom and all the neat details you added around her! As always, perfectly composed collage of wonderful elements! Forget the gift card - anyone would love to receive the holder!
