Vintage and Retro aren't my style but when I looked at today's Inspiration, two or three possibilities came to me.
For this card, I used this picture http://blogs.amctv.com/sterling_coop...o/MenkenAd.jpg from the Advertising Portfolio link Stef gave us.
It's the first time I've stamped Sophia in black. I masked her and sponged the background with ColorBox Pigment Papaya. I used H2Os for colouring her, and added a rose to her hat. I embossed a scrap of heavy acetate with the Cuttlebug Textile ef, and layered her onto that. The paper is Provocraft Illuminations, sponged in black and corner punched, with pearls added (since they're still sitting on my desk from Thursday ).
I added some black velvet ric-rac, and that's it.
It was a much easier challenge than I expected when I first looked, and I might even have time to explore my other possibility. Thanks, Stef.
