My DD's 1st grade teacher asked me if I could come up with a cute holiday project for the kids to do. I really really struggled with so many projects that were just too tedious for little fingers (I think). These are the things I experimented with, including bookmarks (the taller two), a triangle treat box (thanks to Beate's tutorial) and a sour cream container santa (I've done this for so long, not sure who came up with the idea but I'm sure it's in the tutorials also).
Anyway, I wanted to avoid using sticky strip if possible which is why I eliminated the treat bag things. The snowman bookmark has won my vote- he was easy and not too many parts and so cute I think. I have emailed it to the teacher so we'll see what she says.
These are all just adorable! My new DIL is a second grade teacher and I am just going to have to tell her about the bookmarks - she turns everything into something special about reading. Thank you for the inspiration!

Love this, perfect for kids (and grownups)- we have a house full at Xmas....this should keep them occupied even for a little while! I'll have to put out a small table and punch a bunch of the pieces for them to create these. Thanks for sharing. I also have a girl scout group of 6 year olds that would probably love to have these, too. Thanks for coming to the rescue.............I'm sure your submit will be a hit!
