It takes me a while to get around to some techniques, but I'm so glad I finally tried one of these Origami Fold trees. I think it makes a very special Christmas card, and it's a great way to use coordinating designer papers. There are so many wonderful examples of this tree in the gallery, but my direct inspiration goes back to this beauty by Debbie Olson: Framed Origami Tree by debbiedesigns at Splitcoaststampers
As did Debbie, I added a 5th layer at the top using a 1 x 1 inch piece of dp. The oval opening was made with the largest die from the Nestabilities Petite Small set. The Scor-pal was used to make the embossed lines along the edges of the Poison Ivory layer.
The base of this card measures 5 x 7 inches.

Very nicely done. Your folding is so precise. I have made these trees before. I found it a little cumbersome assembling it to the card. Beautiful job. The score lines are a nice touch.

Very Cool! I've also been looking at this little tree for awhile, your technique as usual is so precise and perfect. Now tell the truth is this a card to mass produce? ;o) And does it collapse to fit in an envelope?
