Ok, so alot has been going on here today. My Aunt Marci went for her chemotherapy and her white cell count is very low..too low. Her immune system is near collapse and now has to wear a mask around other people. The doc told her she needs to do whatever it takes to get her white count up, so when she came home, I asked her what she wanted to do (to keep her spirits up). She said she wanted to sit with me and make something. I was psyched! She gets such joy out of playing with my paper and punches, etc. She especially loves my cuttlebug.
So, we made this little Christmas tree
We cut out three trees and adhered them back to back to form the shape, then we enlisted my 14 yr old son to punch out 100's of branches. We lined the tree with sticky tape and went to work adhering the branches. Since our tree is always gold and red, we decorated it with gold garland (gold cording) and cuttlebug die christmas ornaments/candy canes. The base was made of a small piece of chocolate chip cardstock and the tree skirt is a scalloped circle.
Now, I know this isn't the most perfect tree, but for all the time we got to spend together, it sure feels perfect to me!
TFL!~

What a wonderful holiday tree! I love the dimension with the punched branches and ornaments on the gold garland! There's nothing better to lift one's spirits, than spending time creating memories!

Wow... What a neat story!! TFS!! I hope this helped your aunt feel better, and that the memory of creating the tree will continue to lift her spirits. Take care!
