This is my card for our Monday CCEE challenge. Charlene (Lilluvsstampin) is the person responsible for the challenges this month. We were challenged to use a restaurant coaster and mesh or mulberry paper.
This is my story!
1. I discovered a new technique. If you take a strip of mesh and heat it with your heat gun it melts and turns into this beautiful ribbon! Snort! Yes, I did follow the challenge requirements!!!
2. I thought I would share my tutorial on how to obtain a restaurant coaster.
a) Go out to dinner at Chile's.
b) Be sure to take your photographer with you. If you don't have a photographer your dh will work. You probably should not take your kids with you as remember, you are their role model!
c) Be sure to make plans BEFORE you go in to the restaurant so the waitress does not hear you talking about your mission.
d) Have the Photographer say to the waitress - Look! What's that over there? (while he is pointing behind her) When she looks around, quick put the coaster in your purse!
e) Eat your meal while trying to act natural. Then leave and make your card.
3. There is a Plan B. Ask the waitress if you can have just one coaster, explain that you need one for a craft project. Most likely she will say yes. That's what I did!

Cindy, this caught my eye as soon as I visited the gallery, wowee!!! This paper is gorgeous, and I can't believe that lovely rose center is not hand stamped!! Wonderful wonderful card, I hope you do more with these papers, can't wait...
Oh, and the coaster, well, I have a few of those stashed too, I just use the one for my water glass and put my napkin under the glass, no questions asked! But you were really good to ask the waitress first!

This is ridiculously gorgeous, Cindy! I love the DP and every single aspect of your fabulous design! The coaster centerpiece is phenomenal! I'm glad you came by the coaster honestly! (Have to admit, I've done it the other way, too!) This is going straight to my Favs for sure!

Gorgeous, Cindy! I never heard of mesh melting into beautiful ribbon, but I'll give you a bonus point for creative thinking. The things we have to do to get our DH (or photographer--ha! ha!) to take us out to dinner! :-)
