As soon as I saw Beate's inspiration piece today - Blogs at Splitcoaststampers - I thought of the Big Flowers set.
With more time I could have done a bit more layering on the flowers, but my mission this week is to deal with a backlog of sewing - hence the fact that for a rarity I've actually sewed on my card. Here's hoping DH doesn't need his desk for any sound recording or editing till the weekend, because I've set up camp there with the ironing board, sewing machine and various projects.
Back to the card - the papers are all various Basic Grey except for the vase which is DCWV Travel Stack. The main green floral pattern is Lily Kate.
The base layer is brown, and I used turquoise thread to sew on the floral sprigged layer. The flowers were stamped with Brilliance Chocolate Brown and Thyme Green and a blue Marvy marker. I punched them out and trimmed the pinwheel ones. I added buttons and gems in the centres of the big ones, and stuck them onto some florists wire. The vase is also a punch, I curved the edges a bit with my embossing tool and sponged them. For the corners I punched a circle, cut it in quarters, sponged the edges and added more green gems.
I'd been going to add a sentiment and some silver hardware but there wasn't room without crowding it...
TFL, and thanks, Beate, for a great challenge this week.

shall humble themselves and pray,
and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins,
