Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge: Becca Stamps' Circles!
Speedy the Cat has spent the last two NIGHTS chattering at "our" pair of Cardinals who are building their nest...AT NIGHT! He sits at the window and makes a racket, so I can't sleep. Last night I went out and noticed the birds' problem...Our feral cats! That's right! The cats are SLEEPING in the tree! No wonder the Cardinals are having to work at night! Leave it to animals to ADAPT!!!
So, in honor of the birds, and MY sleepless night number 2, I used a bird image for my card!
The decorative circle was made by using a circle die cut. I used the retired SU! corner punch to make the design. This was done by punching around the circle. I didn't measure like Becca...I'm too lazy! LOL! I just punched once. I punched again, across from the first punch. Then, I punched beside that punch and across, and so on. See my blog for a tutorial!
After I punched, I cut the piece from the middle where it was still attached. Then, I stamped the BIRD image onto the Riding Hood Red in Cranberry Crisp. This really toned down the color.
The bird was stamped in Noir Black Palette Hybrid ink and colored with SU! markers. I blended with an Aqua Painter. It was cut out and mounted with foam tape.

What do I think? I think all this card needs is a frame!
Truly this is art. I just finished painting my dining room Martha Stewart Red Velvet Cake (brick red), and this would go so perfectly on one of my wall shelves. TFS your art.
