I made this for Beate's weekend sketch challenge - Blogs at Splitcoaststampers.
It didn't turn out quite as I was expecting. I realise now that to get a reasonable size image on the circle I needed to use a bigger card base than A2 - or else I should have done the main image on the rectangle and a sentiment on the circle.
Anyway, this is what I made.
The base is a navy card stamped with rows of Soft Holly in Versamark.
The next layer is some paper I was sent, with scalloped gold card at each end. I added some self-adhesive gold and red ribbon, and little dots of red with a Sakura Glaze pen.
For the strip near the top of the panel, I just used more of the self-adhesive ribbon, alternating green and red. The little circle is a Cuttlebug Winter Jellies, embossed on blue card with a sparkle. I don't have a circle punch the right size yet, and hand-cutting it just looked hand-cut, so I used the scallop circle punch. I highlighted the outre rim and the stars with a gold gel pen. I added some mulberry holly leaves and berries, and then as it seemed a bit unfinished I added a frame with gold Stickles.
Not at all what I set out to do, but another Christmas card to add to the growing pile.
