This week had me wishing that I had a pansy stamp. What I did to make my pansy was punch out two purple flowers. I cut two of the petals off of one and turned them sideways. I scribbled towards the center with a dark purple marker. I then added a yellow rhinestone to the center. The pink flowers- my roses, were punched out twice and glued with pink rhinestones in the middles. The leaves were made with a paper crimper. I wanted to limit my layers with all the dimension of the flowers, so I used Microsoft Publisher to print four squares inside a bigger square, inside a rectangle and added the words THANK YOU. When looking at Cindy's teapot, I had a hard time figuring out what the black spots on the lid and handle were. It made me think of cowhides. So I took a picture of cow hides and printed that for one of the mats. I also used a pink mat. I outlined the little squares with a pink marker. I sponged pink around the edges of the little squares. I stamped a butterfly in the last square and colored it with the same pink marker that I outlined the squares with and added glitter. I put brads with pink rhinestones in the corners. Whew, that was a long description. Lets get to the tea. Cindy, you'll have to make mine hot tea today, because it was below freezing this morning and I haven't quite warmed up yet.

Well done with the pansy. I was going to embroider mine but I don't think I have the time. At the moment my card is under two books till I get to take a picture tomorrow. I ignored those black patches so well done on including those! I like the layout with the four squares and the big sentiment.

There you go again.....McGiver! You always *make* what you need and come up with the most precious cards! Your flowers are so awesome!
When I made my card I told the photographer...look this would be a good way to make cow hide! I think the teapot is supposed to look like the old white metal ones that were painted white and always chipped and you could see the black inside....I thought it looked like cow hide on my card too! I love your cowhide background!
Yikes....its cold there...not that cold here but you got it girlfriend extra hot for you!!! Thanks for braving the cold and coming to my party!
